Lent
For Lent this year I have decided to give up three things. I am giving up Chocolate, Sweets and Meat. So in other words I am going vegetarian for a little while. The great things about giving up chocolate is because it will really test my will-power and by the end of it I hope to have gain something, same goes for sweets.
However with the vegetarian option, this is just so that I can experiment and start to get things out. I have always wondered what it would be like to go vegetarian and now for 40 days I can find out. So I know I am going to struggle but I will try to push on through it.
Wish me luck, let's hope that I can do this!

Volunteering
Today I am going to volunteer at a shop called Fara baby and kids.
I have to do volunteering for two reasons
I have to do volunteering for two reasons
- it is a good and moral thing to do
- I have to do it for my D of E award
basically my d of e award is like an achievement because in the year that you do d of e you have to do 4 things.
Volunteering (babysitting working in a charity shop…)
Skill (I'm playing guitar as my skill)
Physical ( Netball )
and then at the end you have to go on a hike to show teamwork and that you know your map and compass skills and setting up camp and stuff.
Anyway I'll be organising the shop so if anyone is in the Notting Hill area around that time, please do pop in.
xx

Valentines Day
Valentines Day is your typical day where people who love each other get together and do something special, e.g. go out to dinner watch a film etc
Sometimes those who don't have someone they don't love like a boyfriend or girlfriend, can hate this day in particular but I think that they don't really hate.
I have a theory that if they were in love and with someone special, then they would love it but since they haven't made the effort to do so then they aren't going to like it and might feel jealous or annoyed to those who are in love and happy.
So for those of you having a good day. Happy Valentines day.
And for those of you aren't. I hope you find love soon.

New Outfits
Tomorrow in school we have a mufti day which is supporting Green Week.
In other words we have to help the environment a lot for a week ( we already help in quite a bit)
So tomorrow we either have to buy something from a charity shop or wear something green, so I have decided to wear:
This isn't the actual top, mine is a bit darker and longer on the sleeves but they didn't have it on the website.

Quick Money (in school)
Hi all,
so in school a lot girls do this thing where they sell cookies at break. At Sainsburys you can buy cookies, the most popular being triple chocolate, for £1.65 for a packet of 4 nice large cookies.
Now, in school some people have been selling one cookie for a pound which gives them a profit of £2.35 per packet.
Today I decided to join the trend, I brought in 4 packets of cookies, every single one of them sold meaning I got £16 with a profit of £9.40.
That means that I have nearly doubled my money in one day and if I did that 5 days a week then I would earn £47 a week!!
I think I am going to start doing this for quick and easy money!

Living healthy
As part of my New Years resolutions I have decided to start living healthier.
A key part of my new lifestyle will be exercise. I already do quite a lot in school including kickboxing with a team called chick boxing check out their Facebook page and Instagram down below. Netball with school, but I am thinking about joining an academy and general sport within school. However out of school I am deciding to start swimming, once I find a place for under 16s in a local area, parkour after school on Fridays and a website called FitnessBlender. I used fitness blender a little last year but now I would like to start programs and really getting into the lifestyle of a healthy person.
For the eating part of that I will start:
Drinking more water: I can do t his by taking the Volvic challenge, 1 litre of water a day minimum for 2 weeks.
Eating healthier: this includes a vegetarian day, lowering my carbohydrate intake, increasing m y veg and fruit. I will keep you posted
General health: Not too much chocolate or artificial sugars, I already don't eat that many artificial sugars but chocolate will be hard to cut down on….
Wish me luck in this "healthy" approach to my days.
